Call for tutorials

1st International Semantic Web Conference
(ISWC2002)

ISWC will be a major international forum at which research on all aspects of the Semantic Web is presented. ISWC 2002 follows on from the success of the first Semantic Web Working Symposium (SWWS), which was held in Stanford in July, 2001. ISWC 2002 will take place on the beautiful Mediteranian island of Sardinia, Italy, 9th-12th June, 2002, immediately preceding the OntoWeb workshop. I will begin by a tutorial day on Sunday 9th.

ISWC 2002 invites submissions related to all aspects of the Semantic Web. Both technical and survey/overview papers are solicited, as well as descriptions of working Semantic Web systems, position statements and reports on work in progress.


Call for tutorial

We invite proposals for three or four-hour tutorials on topics related to the main topics of the conference.

Submission details
Proposals for tutorials should contain:
  • A brief description of the tutorial, including: goals, detailed outline, justification of why the tutorial is important, background knowledge required and potential attendees.
  • Information about the tutorial speakers including name, address, affiliation, email, phone and fax.
  • A Short CV of the presenter(s), including background in the tutorial area, references to published work in the area and evidence of teaching experience.
  • A list of audio-visual or technical requirements and any special room requirements.

Tutorial proposals should be submitted in PDF, by January 21st, 2002, to the ISWC 2002 tutorial chair:
